The 36th Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur (FIFF) wrapped Saturday, October 8 with the awards ceremony, during which Mélanie Thierry received the Best Actress Award for her performance in the role of a young mother in The Family.
Although the Swiss film La MIF received the coveted Bayard d'or for Best Film, French cinema also won a number of awards, including two films: Freda by Gessica Geneus (Audience Award and Prix Découverte), Our Men by Rachel Lang (Bayard d'or for Best Screenplay and Critics' Prize).
