Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano took part in the third edition of the Oh Là Là! Festival of French Comedy in Israel (November 16-December 5, 2017), an event dedicated exclusively to French comedies that has enjoyed unwavering success since its inception.
The 3rd Oh Là Là! - Festival of French Comedy is currently underway, with screenings held until December 5 at the cinematheques in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Sderot, and Rosh Pina, as well as the Savyon Culture Center, the Globus Max Cinema in Ashdod, the Yad Lebanim House in Ra'anana, the Kochav Cinema in Ramat Hasharon, the Cinema City Glilot, and the Cinema City Netanya.
This year's festivities were opened on November 16 by the directing duo Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, along with their producer Nicolas Duval Adassovsky, with a presentation of C'est la vie! shown to a packed theater. The screening was followed by a concert by the composer Avishai Cohen. C'est la vie! was released in Israel on November 23, soon after its preview at the festival. The festival will close its doors on December 5 with a screening of 50 is the New 30 by Valérie Lemercier.
At the same time, around a dozen French productions are currently touring Israel, in addition to a screening of classics from the French comedy genre ranging from Boudu Saved from Drowning to The Tall Blond Man With One Black Shoe.
Created in 2015 by Caroline Boneh, director if the distribution company Eden Cinema, the Oh Là Là! Festival attracted 25,000 spectators in 2016.
