Synopsis
Stella is 6 years old but is starting school for the first time. Cheerful and exuberant—perhaps a little too much so—she is an endearing child, but she’s often distracted. “She’s in poor health,” her parents explain. “I just trip and fall,” Stella says when Céline, her teacher, discovers suspicious bruises on the child’s body. So is it abuse or a genuine immune deficiency? Doubt sets in and haunts everyone who comes into contact with the child. Concerned, Céline keeps track of every injury until the day the family moves away without warning.
