Synopsis
In France, a child is killed by his mother every 10 days. How can a mother, who has carried a child to term, given birth, fed, cared for, and loved her child for several years, despair to the point of committing such a morally unbearable act?
Women share their stories, tales of hopeless drownings that lead to the ultimate taboo: infanticide. Their testimony is enlightened by those around them, lawyers, and psychiatrists.
This film modestly confronts the inconceivable to expose the workings of a tragic vicious cycle. It questions us all: how can we prevent this irreparable tragedy from happening?
