Synopsis
Alice Vernon is the devoted mayor of a small town in the east of France who’s assaulted on the night of the country’s national holiday. But who committed this crime? Over the preceding three days, she’d spared no effort to resolve her constituents’ myriad problems, whilst also grappling with a dilemma of her own: after serving two terms, can she really decide not to run in the upcoming elections and follow her husband to the South?
