Synopsis

An iconic pyramid in the heart of Paris, the Louvre Museum embodies France’s grandeur, prestige, and global cultural influence. The largest museum in the world, it stands as a symbol of national pride. But on October 19 2025, the unthinkable happens at the heart of the Museum. In just a few minutes, a commando unit breaks into the Galerie d’Apollon, cuts open display cases, and steals the French Crown Jewels before escaping on scooters along the Seine. A lightning-fast heist: 9:34 a.m., intrusion; 9:38 a.m., escape. Filmed by a handful of tourists and revealed through previously unseen surveillance footage, the robbery shows calm, methodical thieves while security guards appear overwhelmed and unable to intervene. How could the world’s most visited museum be robbed in broad daylight? Who are these audacious criminals? And how did the security of a national symbol fail so quickly? An investigation that questions the vulnerabilities of an iconic institution and the difficult balance between public access, budget constraints, renovation works, and security priorities.
