Synopsis
The fight against crime is undergoing a revolution. Recently, in the United States, hundreds of unsolved cases have been solved thanks to genetic genealogy, a combination of big data and traditional genealogy. In France, the law provides greater protection for private data and limits the use of this new investigative technique. While it can be used to locate killers, in the wrong hands it could be just as effective in arresting political opponents or migrants. It could also become a powerful tool that could put an end to anonymity.
