Synopsis
This five-part documentary series takes us on an aerial journey over the Japanese archipelago, with portraits of the people, their occupations and their traditions. Through the changing seasons, we discover the country’s diversity, from the northernmost island of Hokkaido, passing through the islands of Honshu and Shikoku, to Kyushu in the south. On our way, we visit Tokyo, which has the third-highest skyscraper density in the world, and Kyoto, the country’s imperial and cultural capital for over 1000 years.
