Synopsis
Chiapas, southeastern Mexico. When residents of the town of Tila and several other villages expel the town hall and the police, they face the challenge of self-government. A larger place draws inspiration from the direct cinema tradition to explore the construction of autonomy in Maya Ch'ol territory, a region historically marked by paramilitary violence and Zapatista aspirations.
