Synopsis
In Paris, a Chinese couple try to survive as best they can. The husband, wracked by memories of the nineties in China, moonlights in Paris. One day, on his way home, he chooses to spare the life of a fish he had originally intended to eat, and releases it onto the street. That evening, wishing to please his wife, he prepares spring rolls for her. But, burnt like charcoal through overcooking, the spring rolls are inedible. The man thus earns nothing but his wife's contempt.
