A steady job
Synopsis
Every month, a multitude of nurses from southern Italy criss-cross the country to try their luck at public examinations in the main cities of the north. There are only a few jobs available for thousands of candidates. Most of them try out several times a year.
A nurse from a small town near Naples has created a low-cost bus service that travels at night, leaving nurses on site to take the exam at dawn. This is the story of a special bus full of aspiring workers, each with her own story, telling with one voice her hopes and fears for the future.
