A father, terminally ill with cancer, and his son, who is disabled in both legs, live on the sixth floor of a building. In order for his son to continue living in their apartment after his death, the father organizes a meeting of the building's owners to persuade them to install an elevator. By nature, people only care about themselves and, at best, their families. Indifference and contempt are commonplace among the human race. The question is therefore put to the vote.
