Synopsis
1916, As the sun sets on a pine-wood near Les Sables-d'Olonne, an officer and his young cousin are out on a stroll. Bernard is a sour and pessimistic character, whom the war has turned even more secretive. Françoise, a joyful and elegant young woman, probably admires him in a certain way.
