Synopsis
A film from the Les Petits Secrets des grands tableaux collection - Season 4
In the early nineteenth century, the Spanish people invented guerilla warfare in their revolt against Napoleon's invasion, leading to a horrendous war that strongly marked a witness of the time, Francisco de Goya. The artist produced a painting that challenged the codes of its genre and, through its unprecedented representation of violence, paved the way for the modernist explorations that followed.
