Synopsis
Through a story of friendship, precariousness, humanity, and difficulties, We Went Through Storms evokes the everyday life of two companions of the Emmaus solidarity charity and explores the meaning that they give to their lives, their project, and their commitment. The documentary follows them to the Strait of Gilbraltar, an adventure comparing their lives and their commitment to others. Where do they find the energy of their solidarity? How will they grown in this adventure that will give them a visibility, a feeling of usefulness?

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager. At high school, she would like to be loved like she is at home and expresses it in an awkward way like when she exchanges a favor for a look, in the toilets.
