Synopsis
Nymphomaniac is the crazy and poetic story of a woman's erotic experiences from her birth up until the age of 50. It is told by the protagonist, Joe, who is a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac.
On a cold winter's night, Seligman, a mature and charming bachelor, comes across Joe, beaten black and blue, in an alleyway. After taking her back to his place, he dresses her wounds and asks her about her life. Seligman listens attentively while Joe recounts, in eight successive chapters, the story of her life with its multiple ramifications and facets, full of encounters and incidents along the way.
