Synopsis
The walking, the passage, the rehearsal, the dream of the passage, the doggedness in, occupy the life of the populations in this place of the globe, between Mexico and the United States, where the passage abroad is symbol and symptom. All are sucked up towards the same object, occupied by him or of him: the passage. Boatman and passage: cross is contained in this desire to jump, this temptation of the wall, and the interrogation of this magnetization: the inscription in the center of the being, the anchoring in its intimate geography. This shape of obsession, this house, this magnetization of all, constitutes the heart of the movie. The forms which it adopts guide the construction of the movie, it spriale and repetitions. It is its center of gravity. The whole plan, in the shape of aesthetic investigation, says to us just as much as the word and the movement of this internal occupation, personal and common. cross is an attempt to put flat out this enigma of the magnetization of the passage, at all costs.
