Synopsis
National Gallery takes us behind the scenes at this London art institution, on a journey into the heart of a museum inhabited by masterpieces of Western art from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. National Gallery is a portrait of a place, of its day-to-day operations, its relationship with the outside world, its staff and public, and its paintings. In a dizzying, never-ending game of mirrors, cinema observes painting and painting observes cinema.
