Michael Haneke is one of today's great film directors, as captivating as he is mysterious. He is a genuine Viennese "Mister Arkadin," who always tries to blur the interpretations given to his films, as though erasing all the traces of his past.
Our film therefore slips over to the other side of the mirror. Accompanying the filmmaker over a period of almost twenty years, we revisit his films in an itinerary consisting of journeys and detours between Vienna and Paris, Northern Germany and Cannes.
By passing from one film set to another, getting up close to Haneke the director at work, Michael, the man hidden behind his films, is revealed.
