Synopsis
It all began with a call from my bank proposing that I invest money in a sustainable development account. But when I asked, development of what and sustainable for whom, no one knew what to reply.
So, I picked up my camera.
This investigative film is a reflection on the schizophrenia in which the ultra-liberal capitalist system confines us. We denounce major corporations' abuses, destruction of land, disrespect of human rights, social dramas, and lay-offs without really questioning the circulation of our money and what this produces. How does it yield a profit?
We're constantly encouraged to save by being told of the profitability of savings. I decided to go and take a look at how much this actually costs us!
