Synopsis
“This film’s origin stems from another film. That by René Allio, shot in Normandy in 1975, and based on a crime story: Moi, Pierre Rivière, ayant égorgé ma mère, ma soeur et mon frère…
I was 24 years old. René Allio offered me the job of first assistant director.
Shot a few miles from the place where the triple murder took place 140 years earlier, this film would owe a great deal of its singularity to the fact that most of the roles were played by local farmers.
Today I’ve decided to return to Normandy, to meet these ephemeral actors of that film. Thirty years have gone by…”
