Synopsis
Frankly, life is mean to François Berthier. A dog barks all night and prevents him from sleeping, his espresso machine explodes in his face, and at the bank where he works, his superior hurls insults at him. Then, from one day to the next, everything changes.
The dog no longer barks, the espresso machine makes delicious coffee, his boss apologies for being irascible the day before. Just what is going on? Amazed by this reversal of fortune, François tries to understand the reasons behind it. Has something changed about his attitude? Not at all, he just the same as always.
In the days that follow, success settles over his life. François begins to get truly worried, as though the world were secretly conspiring in his favor. After all, what if happiness were unbearable?
