Synopsis
Bill Diamond, a famous photographer, spends his evenings inventing stories in his huge loft high above the lights of Manhattan. On this particular night, he tells himself the story of Mark, a photographer who once rode the wave of success who has now retired to his studio on the shores of Lake Leman. He’s let everything go, assailed by doubts as to the meaning of his work. He’s lost everything except for Luc, the village cop who still remains his faithful friend. Bill then introduces Jessi, a beautiful woman, into the story; she commissions a work from Mark. Their relationship is very difficult… Even so, Mark manages to get back on his feet, growing increasingly attached to Jessi, who remains tantalisingly out of reach. Is she an angel? Is the story of Mark, Jessi and Luc real or are these characters just ghosts who help old Bill get through another night?
