About
The deliberately light-hearted tone means that these are not characters who suffer from an
inability to communicate but merely use white lies. The comical thing about groups of friends is that they spend years together, have intimate and passionate relationships, while never saying openly what they think of each other. The film's characters all lie: they lie to themselves and they lie to others. But perhaps lies are what really hold their love and friendship together.'' (Martine Dugowson)
