Synopsis
Spring, 1965. An isolated Arctic settlement called Nunataaq. A military detachment ordered to map the region arrives at the Inuit settlement, which has become an oil-company outpost. Avik, an aging Eskimo heavily marked by the passing years, hounds the soldiers to buy him a drink. He sees that they're making new maps, like the maps on which he worked so long ago. For Avik, these maps depict not only his native land but also his life - Avik obviously has a story to tell...
