Synopsis
A country: Angola. A city: Luanda.
A man whose memories are haunted by war. Forced to join the Angolan army when he was fifteen years old, Vitorio is demobolized after almost twenty years of fighting. He’s lost a leg after stepping on a mine. After months of waiting, he is at last given a prosthesis which he hopes will enable him to begin a new life. In the streets of Luanda he slowly discovers that war is still continuing at every street corner. With Joana, he dreams of impossible love. With Judite, he rediscovers life. With Manu, he invents a family.
