In the wake of highly prestigious awards won this year by Logorama from the H5 collective (Academy Award for Best Animated Film) and Chienne d’histoire (Barking Island) by Serge Avédikian (Palme d’Or for Best Short Film), Unifrance, in partnership with the AFCA - Association Française du Cinéma d'Animation (Association Française du Cinéma d'Animation), will release its 13th Short Cuts collection of short films to coincide with the 9th International Animation Day.
Entirely dedicated to French animated films, this collection is produced for Unifrance contacts including foreign film festivals with whom Unifrance is a partner and international buyers and distributors included in Unifrance website listings.
To celebrate the 2010 International Animation Day, public screenings will be held on October 28 at French cultural organizations and corporate entities abroad, as well as at organizations connected with the International Association of Animated Film (ASIFA), which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
