Argentina is one of South America's most active supporters of French cinema, with two events dedicated to French films scheduled in March.
The 2nd edition of the "Preview Screenings" event organized by the cultural promoter GreenTara in collaboration with the Ambassade de France - Argentine and Unifrance, will be held in Buenos Aires March 18 through 24.
The actors Sergi López and Louis-Do de Lencquesaing will be in attendance to present their respective films: Ricky by François Ozon and The Father of My Childrenby Mia Hansen-Love.
The following French films are also programmed at the event: In the Beginning by Xavier Giannoli, Adhen by Rabah Ameur-Zaïméche, Me two (aka Me Two) by Bruno Lavaine and Nicolas Charle, Claire's Knee by Éric Rohmer, The Hedgehog by Mona Achache, Love Songs by Christophe Honoré, The Beaches of Agnes by Agnès Varda, Séraphine by Martin Provost, Stella by Sylvie Verheyde, and London River by Rachid Bouchareb.
Held prior to these "Preview Screenings," the 6th Pantalla Pinamar Festival, (March 6-13), will present 7 feature films produced or co-produced by France.
Louis-Do de Lencquesaing will also be present at the event to accompany Mia Hansen-Love's film The Father of My Children.
This festival will also showcase The Refuge and Ricky by François Ozon, Wild Grass by Alain Resnais, London River by Rachid Bouchareb, Séraphine by Martin Provost, and Eyes of War by Danis Tanovic.
