Unifrance is delighted to welcome French sales agents and buyers from around the world to the 30th anniversary of the world's largest market for French audiovisual programs, which will be held for the first time on the Normandy coast, from September 2 to 6, 2024.
The Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Le Havre kicks off on Monday, September 2, with an evening at the Bibliothèque Oscar Niemeyer, at the invitation of the Mairie du Havre. On Wednesday September 4, participants will also be invited by the Région Normandie to an evening event at the Franciscaines in Deauville.
The market and video library will open their doors on Tuesday, September 3 at the Carré des Docks. International buyers will be able to discover a rich offering of French programs in a wide range of genres: fiction, animation, documentary, live performance, and entertainment. These programs will be available on the event's viewing platform, accessible on site in the video library or online.
In keeping with a formula that has proven effective in promoting sales of French audiovisual programs, accredited guests will be invited to discover several productions due to hit the screens soon, at lunches, dinners, and screenings.
This year, the gala evening, initiated in 2022 and now established as one of the highlights of the Rendez-Vous, will put the spotlight on Ça, c'est Paris created by Marc Fitoussi, Edgard F. Grima, and Jérôme Bruno, produced by Mon Voisin Productions (Mediawan) (Call My Agent!) and Federation Studio France, in coproduction with Butler Industries and distributed by Federation Studios. The artistic teams will be on hand to present an exclusive screening of the series' first episode at the Pathé Docks Vauban movie theatre, and to exchange views with international professionals at a festive dinner in the Carré des Docks auditorium.
Accredited guests will also be able to discover:
- Zorro, a comedy adventure fiction series created by Benjamin Charbit and Noé Debré, screening at cinema Pathé Docks Vauban, followed by the closing night event organized at Magic Mirrors, both events offered by France tv distribution.
- The animated documentary series The Legends of Paris: A Tale of the 19th century Artistic Scene, created by Amélie Harrault, at a screening offered by ARTE Distribution, midday Tuesday.
- The fiction series Tom & Lola, created by Camille Couasse and Sarah Farkas, and distributed by Mediawan Rights at a midday screening on Wednesday.
- The fiction series The Eclipse, created by Hélène Duchateau, Cécile Lorne, and Baptiste Filleul, offered by About Premium Content at a lunch on Thursday.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the Rendez-Vous will once again host the announcement of French audiovisual export figures (2023 figures) in partnership with the CNC, at the Carré des Docks auditorium.
Unifrance is thrilled to enact this partnership with the city of Le Havre and the Région Normandie, which will provide an opportunity to revitalize the event by offering a new, modern, and dynamic setting for these meetings.
