French animated films continue to be presented at major international academies' award events. They have been nominated at the International Emmy® Awards late November and the European Film Awards (EFA) in December, as well as the Student Academy Awards.
Student Academy Awards
This year, three French animated works were presented at the Student Academy Awards:
- Goodbye Jerome! by Adam Sillard, Gabrielle Selnet, and Chloé Farr;
- Little Things by Clara Mesplé, Camille Burles, Andreea Ciora, Lou Fraleu, and Manon Lambert;
- The Seine's Tears by Yanis Belaid, Eliott Benard, Alice Letailleur, Nicolas Mayeur, Étienne Moulin, Hadrien Pinot, Philippine Singer, and Lisa Vicente.
The Seine's Tears won the Bronze Medal of the 49th edition. It is hence eligible to compete for the next Academy Awards in the Animated Short Film category.
International Emmy® Awards
Franz Kirchner's program Rabbids Invasion Special - Mission to Mars was nominated at the International Emmy® Awards in the Kids: Animation category.
European Film Awards (EFA)
In total, five French animation works were in the running for the European Film Awards:

Short films
During the ceremony, No Dogs or Italians Allowed won the award for European Animated Feature Film and Granny's Sexual Life won the award for European Short Film.
In brief:
- Icarus by Carlo Vogele will be the Luxembourg candidate for the International Feature Film Oscar in 2023;
- Two French films are on the shortlist for the Animated Feature Film Oscar 2023: Charlotte and Little Nicholas - Happy as Can Be. The shortlisted films for the 95th Academy Awards will be announced on December 21, 2022.
- The nominations for the Annie Awards 2023 will be announced January 17, 2023.
