A dozen French films will be presented at the 15th Rome Film Fest which will take place in the Roman capital from October 15 through 25, in the presence of several French artists.
It's a fine year for French cinema at the 15th Rome Film Fest, with five films presented in Official Selection and one in the Tutti ne Parlano strand, which brings together recent films that have been selected in numerous festivals.
A strong French delegation should be attending, among whom (tbc) Vincent Lacoste, Lucas Belvaux, Hélier Cisterne, Katell Quillévéré, François Ozon, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Suzanne Lindon, Lina Soualem, and Bruno Merle.
Alice nella Città, a parallel section of the festival especially dedicated to youth in cinema will host five French films.
The festival will also welcome François Ozon for a special event as part of the Incontri ravvicinati.
As is the case each year, the Rome Film Fest will also host the MIA Market (October 14 through 18), a hybrid film market where 25 French sales agents will be present, 18 of whom will be under the UniFrance stand, located in the Pietro da Cortona lounge in Palazzo Barberini.
International (mainly European) buyers have thus embraced being present for what will perhaps be the only physical market of this second half of the year.
