The 2014 Festa do Cinema Francês will take place from October 2 through November 28 in 18 cities across Portugal.
The Festa do Cinema Francês is shifting into high gear right now as its organizers prepare to present French films over nearly two months in around 20 Portuguese cities, which is twice as many locations as in 2013.
The festival will open with a screening of School Of Babel by Julie Bertuccelli, and will present 25 films in Portuguese premieres throughout the event.
The program also includes a tribute to Marcel Pagnol at the movies, along with a series of animated films presented in screenings for school children, with guest artists invited to introduce their films. The guest list includes the directors Jean-Pierre Sinapi (Camping à la ferme), Pascal Tessaud (Brooklyn), Fabianny Deschamps (New Territories), Anne Fontaine (Gemma Bovery), and the producers Philippe Godeau (Sous X) and Nicolas Pagnol, who will present his tribute to his grandfather Marcel Pagnol.
The complete list of cities and the program can be found at the festival's official website.
