Synopsis
"This film is anchored in the Pacific because the music, the presence of water and the vitality of life in this region were what helped me find paths towards reconciliation and emancipation in the experience of migration.
The Pacific territory is marked by Colombia’s armed conflicts and the scars of colonisation. This is the region where former slave communities took refuge, and it is in these same waters that every year thousands of whales come from Antarctica to breed.
This film stems from the need to seek out new voices – including poetic ones – that call for new epistemic constructs, unusual ways of being in and inhabiting the world where individual experience crosses over into collective history with its wounds, stitches and mutations." Daniel Duque
