Synopsis
Marie-Line Maupain, a spy for the French secret service for thirty years, is abruptly put on hold by her superiors. She becomes a ‘sleeper agent’ in her home region of Cantal, where she is supposed to keep a low profile.
Accustomed to danger and the unexpected, Marie-Line must resign herself to normality and accept to rebuild her life in this remote corner of the country. But her spy instincts quickly take over, especially when she meets up with an old acquaintance, Bruno Lafon, who has become a gendarmerie captain.
No sooner has she returned to the farm where she grew up than Marie-Line begins investigating Lafon's affairs without authorisation.
With methods as different as they are complementary, they soon form a formidable duo.
