Synopsis
A young French teacher begins his first day of classes at Nancy prison when he happens to meet a young woman with whom he falls madly in love. It is with the birth of this love that the young man discovers the realities of prison life. The raw sincerity of the relationships he forms with his students behind bars gradually wins him over, much to the dismay of his loved ones, who struggle to understand his career choice. He is quickly confronted with heartbreaking life stories, to which he tries to respond with kind compassion. His colleagues warn him against the risk of taking up the cause of the inmates...
