Synopsis
The story takes place in the Cantal region in the 1950s. Le Bricou, an ageing cowherd, has lost two head of cattle on the Limon plateau. It is a trivial, almost insignificant event, but is enough to send him into a frenzy. His life is turned upside down. What if others were laughing at him, what if he was good for nothing, what if his wife was cheating on him, maybe even has scabies?
