Synopsis
What does a garment say about us, our life, our past, our hopes, our renunciations?
Clothes are a part of ourselves. A protection, a bulwark, a showcase, a pretense, an identity, a memory. They change according to our desires, our constraints, our age, the seasons, our profession. They can be militant or ditsy. They are a teenager's passport, the mask we put on to hide, reveal ourselves, look like someone, impose, disappear. The Clothes of Our Lives is a journey through time, but also a social, political, and generational journey. A journey through life.
In a minimalist set, a mirror, a clothesline, a small wooden table, a garment and its owner. Fourteen people, ranging in age from fourteen to seventy-five, tell their stories in a unique setting. Each with a garment: yellow vest, lawyer's robe, sneakers, tuxedo. In this suspended time, as they tell their stories, our imaginations can unfold.

Tender Age, by Julien Gaspar-Oliveri
Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager. At high school, she would like to be loved like she is at home and expresses it in an awkward way like when she exchanges a favor for a look, in the toilets. A loudmouth, provocative, and seeking attention, Diane tries to stand apart from her mother and wishes, during a weekend, to live like an adult.
