The Great Night
Synopsis
Esma is a young cabaret dancer of Algerian descent in search of freedom. Hantirah, a young Syrian medical student with a future traced out by his parents, is torn between his love for her and his commitment to his fiancée, a medical student like him. On Eid Day, between the streets of the Barbès neighborhood in Paris and the queer cabaret where Aragoz, an Egyptian and Hantirah's best friend, performs, we discover young people of today with diverse Arab origins.

The year’s end celebrations are coming. Christmas : the tree, the dinner, the presents. Indian and Cowboy are expecting their presents eagerly. Overexcited by the organisation of the celebration, they fight and destroy the Yule log on which Horse was putting the last touch. Horse is livid and cancels the gifts from Santa Claus. How will they win back the favours of Horse and The Old Bearded Man? How will they retrieve their gifts ? For Indian and Cowboy begins a long, very long Christmas Eve.

Future Film Festival in Bologna.
