Clotilde is a highly original singer and flutist whose work traverses the rocky terrain of jazz, from standards to avant-garde. Yet music alone is not sufficient as a medium to express her fertile imagination, and Clotilde now presents her latest work titled XXY [ɛks/ɛks/wʌɪ], a music and video project that deploys the full range of her forms of creative expression. This work is the culmination of her reflections on the subject of femininity. Using a holistic approach that employs multiple media, including music, dance, and images, it takes the form of seven portraits presented in seven films.
