Synopsis
In the fervor of the Tunisian spring, after the fall of Ben Ali, 25,000 young Tunisians took to the sea to head for Europe, via Lampedusa. Maki Berchache was one of them. Based on his story, fragments of images, tales, with his fellow travelers, or people met in Paris, Burn the Sea takes a look back at this attempt for freedom and the brutality of rejected hospitality.
How the country left behind becomes the country dreamed for.
