Synopsis
From their first encounter in Chartres in 1939, the love affair between Lucienne, a shop assistant at Gallimard, and Simon, an American student, unfolds. It's a love story set against historic moments, the end of the Spanish Civil War, the war against Nazism. It's a story that travels between France and America. Lucienne and Simon, who've become fictional characters through Marie Nimier, a writer. They are my parents.
