Synopsis
For his project Broken Manual, the photographer Alec Soth travelled through America, in search of people who have withdrawn from society. Some people live in huts lost in the mountains, some in caves, others in the desert. It is through the eyes of Alec that we try to understand why these modern hermits want to escape from our society. The photographer shows us a new fantasy: disappearance.
