Synopsis
The story begins April 6, 2006. Fred Poulet offers two super 8 cameras to soccer player Vikash Dhorasoo so he can film his daily life up until July 9, the date of the World Cup Final in Berlin. Together they’ll write the film from day to day, from Havre to Paris, then in Germany, in hotel rooms, in the bus or by telephone. And also in the stadiums from time to time. Vikash Dhorasso will play for 16 minutes during this World Cup full of twists and turns that will see the French team reach the final for the second time in its history.
Substitute is the personal diary of this “twelfth man.”
