Synopsis
World War Two is on the brink of breaking out and times are hard. In the lovely village of Greenhall Bridge, the Carraclough family tries to get by. But then their father loses his jobs and, with leaden hearts, they’re obliged to sell their wonderful dog, Lassie, to the Duke of Rudling.
After running away several times to come back to Joe, her young master, the dog is taken to other end of the country to the northern Scottish coast. But Lassie doesn’t care about the distance or the numerous dangers that lie in wait. Once again, she runs away.
And so begins an incredible journey which, over more than 800 kilometers, will lead her from encounters to adventures, right back to her true home.
