François Roussel, a young writer of 35, finds success with a play evidently inspired by his own personal experiences. François is, in fact, the archetype of indecisiveness. The three women in his life are the living proof. Not only do these women suffer at some time because of it, but François too. In order to respond to their needs, François obviously has to face his responsabilities, which is not easy for someone so set in his indecisiveness. What's more, these three women do not have the same demands : Christine (30 ans), the more mature woman in this story, wants children and to settle down with François ; Gaëlle (26) wants more of his time to compensate for his lack of attentions ; Marianne (18), the youngest, wants only to explore physical pleasure with him. It is pointless wondering which one of these three women François will end up chosing. Christine, he loves openly. He knows it and admits it. So how can he reject Gaëlle's "sexual harassment" ? And how can he escape without too much upheaval from Marianne's grasp, while, at the same time, trying to gradually win Christine's heart ? Basically, "l'Irrésolu" is a funny story about a major male predicament.
