Synopsis

Nine-year-old Jesse Conrad is a young fellow like millions of others throughout the world. He lives in Seatle with his engineer father, Dean, and his schoolteacher mother, Lisa. One day, they are surprised by a visit from a delegation of Buddhist monks, who have come from the himalayan kingdom of Bhutan under the leadership of Lama Norbu and his deputy, Champa. The monks think that Jesse might be the reincarnation of one of their most eminent spiritual leaders...
