Abuse of Weakness
Synopsis
A stroke victim, Maud, a filmmaker, comes to one morning in a body that is half-dead and which leaves her a hemiplegic confronted by ineluctable solitude.
Although bedridden, she is determined to pursue a feature film project. One night, while watching a television talkshow, she discovers Vilko, a conman who has served time for ripping off celebrities.
His arrogance leaps out of the screen: Maud wants him to be the lead in her next film.
They meet. From then on, he's always by her side. He manipulates her, borrowing huge sums of money, stealing everything she's got, but giving her joy and a kind of cosy family nest in return.
This film depicts the abuse of weakness of which Maud is a victim.
