Isabelle Huppert paid a heartfelt tribute to the memory of Patrice Chéreau at the New York Film Festival.
At a discussion on the film Abuse of Weakness by Catherine Breillat held Monday, October 7, as part of the New York Film Festival, guest speaker Isabelle Huppert, alongside the event's host Kent Jones, offered an emotional tribute to Patrice Chéreau, who died the same day. Huppert played the title character of Chéreau's film Gabrielle in 2005 and was directed by him on stage two years earlier for the Ateliers Berthier production of Phèdre at the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Paris.
