Synopsis

When Bettie's lover suddenly leaves her and the family restaurant finds itself in financial trouble, this sixty-year-old woman wonders what to do with her life.
She gets into her car, initially thinking that she'll go for a drive around the neighborhood, just a quick spin. But she continues driving, not looking back, and ends up at a gala for former Miss France contestants, renews ties with her daughter, discovers she has a grandson, and perhaps even love is waiting for her at the end of the journey. A new horizon opens up for her.
