In 1981, Eric Heumann joined MK2 Productions. In 1984, he founded Paradis Films to produce feature films. Then, in 1986, with Jean Labadie and Stéphane Sorlat, he founded his own distribution company, Bac Films. Since founding Paradis Films, Eric Heumann has produced thirteen features includ-ing John Lvoff's "The Bathroom", Régis Wargnier's "Indochine" (Oscar for Best Foreign-Language Film and winner of five Césars), Theo Angelopoulos's "Landscape in the Mist" (Silver Lion at the Venice Festival) and the same director's "Ulysses' Gaze" (Grand Jury Prize at the 1995 Cannes Festival)... In 1995, with Jacques Lebas, he started writing "Port Djema", his first feature film.
